What happens after your inquiry

Submitting a brief starts a review, not a production order. The next step depends on the information available.

Route and quotation scope

We review whether the part fits a copper AM route and identify the manufacturing, finishing, and inspection scope needed for a quotation.

Focused questions, if needed

If material, tolerance, pressure, current, thermal load, or inspection needs are unclear, we ask focused questions before quoting.

Quotation or an agreed engineering next step

When the inputs are sufficient, a quotation can state the scope and assumptions. Detailed design, simulation, testing, or qualification work needs a separately agreed scope; submitting an inquiry does not include those services automatically.

Geometry package

STEP, X_T, or native CAD files plus 2D drawings for critical dimensions, datum faces, sealing lands, contact surfaces, and threaded ports.

Functional requirements

Heat load, coolant, flow rate, pressure drop, current, duty cycle, frequency band, vacuum exposure, and service temperature.

Special requirements

Material, quantity, lead time, CT scope, pressure or helium leak test, dimensional inspection, surface finish, and post-processing intent.

Quotation FAQs

These questions usually determine whether a copper AM quote can move quickly.

Will every RFQ receive the same response?

No. If the drawing and quantity are clear, the reply may be a straightforward quotation. If key requirements are missing, we ask focused clarification questions first.

Can I start without CAD or a complete specification?

Yes. Start with your name, work email, company, and a short description of the part and the problem to solve. CAD and the other project fields are optional for an initial inquiry. A firm quotation may still need geometry, quantity, material state, and acceptance requirements.

Do you need a drawing if CAD is available?

Drawings are recommended for critical dimensions, datum faces, flatness, sealing lands, thread notes, surface finish, and inspection scope.

What if the material is not decided?

Send the service temperature, conductivity target, mechanical load, and environment so pure copper, CuCrZr, or GRCop-42 can be reviewed.

How are internal channels accepted?

Internal passages should define CT scope, pressure or leak targets, flow rate, pressure drop, cleaning method, and allowable blockage risk.

What affects lead time most?

Geometry review, build orientation, post-machining, heat treatment, CT or leak testing, surface requirements, and material availability.
